OUR HISTORY

Packaging Express is one of the last independent custom corrugated box manufacturers in Colorado.  We design, manufacture, and deliver quality custom boxes, displays and so much more!  With 94,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Colorado Springs, we have some of the best equipment in the state.  We pride ourselves on speed.  Our motto is “When yesterday is not soon enough!”

We are family owned with a long history of successfully operating corrugated box plants throughout the United States!  Jim Davis founded Packaging Express in 1998 after working over 30 years with other box manufacturers, namely Deline Box Company.  And his father-in-law owned and operated successful box plants in Iowa during the 1940’s-1960’s (Waterloo Corrugated).  Today, Jim’s son, Matt Davis, owns and operates Packaging Express with the same expertise and pride that his Father and Grandfather had.  Passion for creating quality custom boxes in the Davis family is unquestionable!

1940

Waterloo Corrugated Box Company built their own building in Waterloo, IA and ordered their first 67” wide corrugator, which became the back bone of the business during World War II.  The company was fortunate to survive during WWII because they ended up making corrugated cartons for the manufacturers of war products.  They also received government approval for using raw material to make corrugated containers during the war.

Waterloo Container Corp and their 3 sheet plant operations became a forerunner of the Sheet Feeder concept during the 1940’s.
