OUR TEAM

Our team at Packaging Express is unlike any other manufacturer in Colorado. We have over 25 employees with an average tenure of 10+ years. We have employees that have been with us since day 1. Our very first employee, Andre Brown, still works at Packaging Express 25 years later! And we have some that were former customers, including our CFO/COO – Kirby Heck, Account Manager – Dan Pocrnick, HR Manager – Kris Micklewright, and Business Development Manager – Jon-Michael Horst.

FAMILY

When we say our team is like family, we mean it literally. Jim Davis started Packaging Express with his son, Matt, in 1998. And now we have Matt’s cousin Andrew Bell working for Packaging Express as one of our Account Managers! And we have a husband and wife working together – Andre, our Production Manager, and Edna, our Customer Service Manager. In fact, their two sons have also worked at Packaging Express! We have fathers and sons, mothers and sons, uncles and nephews, brothers and cousins all working together at our box plant. The culture at Packaging Express is so strong, that family and friends want to be part of the team. It truly is a family business!

BOX MAKING SKILLS

The only requirements to begin working at our Colorado Springs box plant is basic math skills, the ability to use a tape measure, the eagerness to learn, a great attitude and most importantly, trust! We give all of our employees the opportunity to learn and grow in the box-making business. We train them on all of the basics and how to operate each machine. Packaging Express invests in our employees by bringing in experts to train them on the various machines and processes. We also send employees to other box plants and seminars for further training. Our owner even took several of our team members to Sweden in 2022 to learn and train on the new Emba 175 box maker!

A STRONG TEAM

We are extremely proud of the Packaging Express team! Everyone is dedicated to the safety of our plant at all times. They have a passion for producing quality custom packaging for all customers, big or small. Our owner, Matt Davis, treats the entire team as owners. Everyone knows how and why Matt makes the decisions he does. And he keeps the entire team updated on company performance and strategy. We believe that if we keep the team included on the direction of the company, it makes us a stronger and better team!
